Welcome back for another A Song of Ice and Fire and Winds of Winter update video. In this new video, I will be talking about George R.R. Martin’s new announcement regarding The Winds of Winter release date. In a shocking new announcement, George R.R. Martin says he is still 500 pages away from finishing the Winds of Winter. At this point, it seems like he will never release this book. After working on the Winds of Winter for well over a decade, he’s only 75% done. At this rate, it may take another 3-4 years before the Winds of Winter officially releases. This is assuming he doesn’t keep doing his re-writes, either… Thankfully we still have House of the Dragon, and other potential Game of Thrones prequels and sequels… Let me know what you think about this down below. Thanks for watching!

House of the Dragon is an upcoming American fantasy drama television series created by George R. R. Martin and Ryan J. Condal for HBO. It is a prequel to the television series Game of Thrones (2011–2019) and is based on Martin’s 2018 novel Fire & Blood. Set two hundred years before the events of Game of Thrones[2] the series chronicles the beginning of the end of House Targaryen, the events leading up to the Targaryen civil war, known as the “Dance of the Dragons”, and the war itself. House of the Dragon received a straight-to-series order in October 2019 with casting beginning in July 2020 and principal photography beginning in April 2021 in the United Kingdom. The first season of the series is scheduled to premiere in 2022 and will consist of ten episodes.
